Now that Episode IX is out, the Skywalker saga has (ostensibly) ended. I recognize that the Star Wars universe holds myriad opportunities for additional content, as we've already had several animated series, and one season of The Mandalorian, and there have been teases and announcements of new series and standalone films.
My question, and hope for discussion, is about Ranter opinions on the movies and reviews thereof, additional content that would be welcome, SWFS (Star Wars Fatigue Syndrome), etc. What d'y'all think? Happy, sad, relieved, disappointed, satisfied? Complaints? Compliments?

The movies are shallow, cheesy, lack substance, they are nothing more than a spaghetti western with space ships. Now, I just need to find a day to go see the latest episode. The Mandalorian, just another money grab by Disney, not worth the lost time watching. I can't believe, I watched the whole thing. How many more days till it season two?

Spill. The Mandalorian is fun. Star Wars for adults. The movies were terrible. All of them.

I put my Star Wars addiction in the "guilty pleasure" category. I've been a fan since 1978. They're not "great works of Cinema", but, damn, ain't they fun! I even liked Solo. I've never understood the haters, except, well, of course, there is the dark side. The plethora of fan fiction and spin off series demonstrates the richness of the genre.

Solo was great until Greedo shot first.

There is one aspect of the conclusion of Star Wars I find wholly unsatisfying, and it's this: If there is supposed to be "balance" in the Force, doesn't that imply that for every great force for "good" (one could read "Jedi"), there must be an equally great force for "evil" (e.g., Sith)? Good "winning" would disrupt that balance, and necessitate the rise of a new evil, no? How do we maintain equilibrium in the future?

Yer a damn Nerd.
I liked all of the movies, but am at such a shallow level of appreciation that I don't really know much about the plot line, or even the names of most of the characters.
And the hopscotch nature of the order they came out is beyond me to unravel, but luckily it doesn't mater... (I put that in for anybody who didn't catch the Uncle Mater and Auntie Mater joke.)

Order of release: 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9

By Episode Episode I – The Phantom Menace May 19, 1999 Episode II – Attack of the Clones May 16, 2002 Episode III – Revenge of the Sith May 19, 2005 Episode IV – A New Hope May 25, 1977 Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back May 21, 1980 Episode VI – Return of the Jedi May 25, 1983 Episode VII – The Force Awakens December 18, 2015 Episode VIII – The Last Jedi December 15, 2017 Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker December 20, 2019
The Mandalorian takes place after Episode IX - Rise Of Skywalker, thus Baby Yoda is not Yoda but may become a Yoda.
Hope it helps
