Penalties for Trump's lawyers?

Wouldn't that be nice - but don't hold your breath.

Not much point in disbarring them, no sane client would pay for their "services", though I guess there may be plenty of rump cultists out there that think they are Clarence Darrow. They had better hope their juries are as impartial as the GOP senate, in their favor, like a white jury with a black rape defendant in Jim Crow South. On the other hand, this kind of jury is more likely now in red states.

I think Giuliani is the one who needs to lose his license. He filed so many meritless lawsuits for Trump, it must be the world's record. You are only supposed to get a few chances at that, before the kick you out of the club.

Of course, he might get indicted for incitement. So maybe no need to mess with license cancellation or disbarment.

One of the ships sailing the metaphorical Sea of Insanity is blown briskly about by the Stop The Steal gale force wind. The ConROT aroma surrounding that imbroglio is thick enough to cut with a machete - in a feat of supreme irony (is this the Irony Age?), the crusaders against stealing the election are the wannabe thieves!

That’s insane...

State Republican Parties censuring members of congress who voted to impeach or convict Trump, have essentially told those members they are no longer welcome in the Party. Leaders of the Democratic Party in both of those Houses should invite those members to join the Democratic caucus.

Susan Collins just might go for it. Lisa Murkowski might as well. If just a single Senator flipped Parties, it would change the balance of power in the Senate. Instead of shared power, it would all go to the Democrats. And that would vey nicely demonstrate to those state organizations that their actions have consequences.

We Didnt send you to do the right thing!

I cant believe I'm quoting the AmericanIndependent, for my favorite quote du jour, but as my old pathology professor said when we made a correct diagnosis on a tough case:
Even a blind pig sometimes finds an acorn!

Quote:

The Washington County GOP chair wants Republican Sen. Pat Toomey punished for voting to convict Trump.

A Pennsylvania county Republican Party chair suggested that GOP Sen. Pat Toomey should resign over his vote to convict Donald Trump. Doing so could give Democrats another seat in the closely divided chamber.

In an interview with a Pittsburgh television station, Washington County GOP Chair Dave Bell lambasted Toomey for voting to allow an impeachment trial and to convict Trump of inciting an insurrection.

"Four years ago, when we voted for Pat Toomey, we sent him to Washington to represent our interests. He was our representative in Washington. We did not send him there to vote his conscience, we did not send him there to 'do the right thing' or whatever he said he was doing," Bell complained. "We sent him there to represent us and we feel very strongly that he did not represent us."

I rest my case your Honor!
