Seen Israel and Egypt fighting lately? No because they agree that peace benefits them both.
Is Israel also occupying Egypt? Stealing Egyptian homes and farmland, Blockading Egypt so that food and medical supplies can't get in?

is Israel shooting unruly Egyptian school children for throwing rocks at their oppressors?

Israel has been relentless and has shown no signs over the decades of improving the situation. Who will fight for Paalestine when the United States has thrown their entire military might in support of Israel?

Hamas cannot fight Israel, all they can do is try to call attention to their plight in hopes that someday someone will help them.

You might as well blame American Indians for the loss of their own homeland Blame the Indians for the broken treaties. Blame the Indians for the deaths brought on them by the White men. Because they dared to fight back against impossible odds.

I agree with you: Clearly Israel is the bad guy here. As you say, "Hamas cannot fight Israel", and yet they keep trying. Every time they try, their own people suffer. As you also said: "all they can do is try to call attention to their plight in hopes that someday someone will help them." I think they need to do a better job at that. Shooting rockets into Israel just gives other countries an excuse to ignore them.

I want the situation to improve. Cursing at Israel will not make the situation improve. What might make the situation improve is if a lot of other countries in the world refused to deal with Israel enough so they elected less conservative leaders who would make peace with the Palestinians, withdraw from the occupied territories, and start helping them instead of blockading them.

A lot of the hellhole conditions in Gaza are caused by the Israeli blockades, that Israel justifies because Hamas keeps on smuggling in stuff to make rockets.

I'm reading a very interesting book - The Ministry For The Future, by Kim Stanley Robinson. It's sort of a sci-fy/psy-fi about climate change.

Highly recommended...

Saying it's about "climate change" is like describing the holocaust as "hazing". I like the part where the lady asks if they should think about killing enemies of the human race, and finds out her organization is already doing that! Very discretely, of course.

I can think of a few nominees, myself.

Discretely, or discreetly? Could be both, I reckon.

I actually have a Two Degrees of Separation connection with Kim. One of my very long term buddies is connected to him by marriage somehow. I forget the exact details. Love his books. He also writes stuff about Antarctica expeditions, Davis, California, and the UCSD research community and surrounding tech startups. My wife attended Davis Vet School, and I have gone on a Scripps Institute expedition in the Far North, worked for UCSD, and worked at some of those tech startups myself. I'm a bit surprised we never met.

This is actually pretty important:

Free Speech Applies To Kids

This Supreme Court decision says students have First Amendment rights, and as long as their social media posts don't disrupt their school much or indicate cheating, bullying, and such, they have the same rights as an adult. Now of course, this will probably only apply to public schools (since the 1st Amendment just says what governments can't do). Private schools will be free to violate their student's rights all they want.

The Supreme Court actually overturned an appeals court ruling that said schools had no right to do anything about off-campus student speech. Instead they said the same rules apply for students as any adult: They have Freedom of Speech, but no shouting "FIRE" in a crowded theater. If their expression actually does harm, then they are responsible for doing that harm. So schools need to show harm, like the "standing rule" in federal lawsuits, if they want to punish student speech. No: "It pissed off the coach, so you are suspended."
