The "burial at sea" was probably because they radioed back to operation control to ask where they wanted the body.
I imagine they said: "Holy crap! Don't bring it here!"
It would have been a really bad idea to bury it anywhere. Maybe dump it in a live volcano? Iceland has some nice ones.

The guy made video after video bragging about what he had done. His participation in 9/11 resulting in the deaths of 2,996 Americans is not in dispute.

Courts are not only for determining guilt or innocence. They also determine the sentence. It might well have been the same - but at least we would have followed the Constitution we claim to revere.

That’s the thing. I don’t really care about what happened to bin Laden. I care a great deal about how it was done.
