But as I said above...it's off the table. We've got to find another way.

What I’ve been thinking would be a smart response would be, in the case of Boebert and Omar, for Omar to say something like, “That may seem humorous to you, but I think the job of being an elected Representative to Congress also has some obligations to work to solve the problems facing American citizens, such as controlling the Covid pandemic and reversing global warming. I invite my colleague, Representative Boebert, to focus on the responsibilities of her office and her $218,600 salary, and leave the jokes to the professional comedians.”

And that would work? I think not. This Boebert character, as well as the rest of her ilk, have no intention of passing any legislation whatsoever. Except perhaps banning abortion entirely and having everyone in the nation open carry firearms.Their only purpose of being is to utter inanities to fire up their base’s tribalism and get on right wing “news” sites to promote their nonsense. While their base has orgasms relishing in the words.

And this works.

They really need to start dressing like the professional wrestlers they have become.

Yes, I don’t think it would change their behavior, but the idea is to redirect the spotlight away from what they seek and to light up their uselessness. It wouldn’t sway their base but it could shift enough votes away to keep them from winning another election. It would also lessen the perception that they had just ‘owned’ the target of their stupid ploy.

Liz Cheney does a fairly decent job of it.

Patience lads. The TEA Party movement ushered a bunch of them in too. A lot of those are gone now and this crowd of genuinely stupid elected officials will be replaced by smarter, hungrier candidates as the Trump years wind away behind us. That's a big salary and no real job qualifications.
